Elapsa privacy policy
Last updated 7 November 2026
The short version: Elapsa doesn't collect any data about you. What you put in it stays on your devices.
What Elapsa collects
Nothing. LJ Workshop doesn't collect, store, share or sell any personal data from Elapsa. There's no account, no advertising and no tracking. On the App Store, its privacy label reads “Data Not Collected”.
What it asks your permission for
Elapsa only uses these when you allow it, and only for the reasons given. You can change them in Settings at any time.
- Camera: to scan a document. The photo is cropped to the card and stored encrypted on your iPhone.
- Photos: to import a photo of a document that you pick.
- Notifications: to remind you when it's time to renew. Reminders are scheduled on the iPhone itself.
- Local network: only when you use Transfer with a nearby device, to hand your documents straight to your other phone.
Network connections
Elapsa has no server and never connects to the internet. The only connection it makes is directly to your other phone on your local network, when you use Transfer with a nearby device. It has no analytics and no crash reporter of its own.
- When you move your documents to another phone, they go directly between the two phones, or as an encrypted file wherever you send it (AirDrop, Files or another app you choose). Never to LJ Workshop.
Apple
If you've chosen to share analytics with app developers in your device settings, Apple may give me anonymous, aggregated statistics such as how many people installed the app and crash reports. They don't identify you, and you can turn this off in Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements.
Children
Elapsa collects no data from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date.
